last night i went to the Alkaline Trio and Reggie and the Full Effect show. reggie was a bunch of fun. alkaline trio wasn't that impressive. and the crowd. let me tell you- i have never been squashed inbetween so many selfish people in my life. everyone acted like they were the only ones there to see the show. we were all fans of the bands and there was no need to act otherwise. it really made me angry. people were pushing and shoving like it was the end of the world and if they didn't get as close as possible and shove as many people out of the way they would miss the show. i was being shoved so close against people that it was worse viewing than if i were standing in the back.

so when alkaline trio started it got really ridiculous. i lost complete control of my body and was at the mercy of the crowd. after i started sinking into the crowd and no one would help me and after i had my head at the mercy of some guy's arm while he was taking a picture(i bit him by the way.)i started pushing and shoving and yelling explitives and making my way out of the pit- im always astonished when people won't let you out.

and i know that concerts can be like that. i really do. ive been to plenty. ive been to shows at 328(RIP)which is smaller than this place, with bigger crowds and i have been treated better. i was appalled at the utter disregard with which i was treated.

i think that when you go to concert you are in a place with a ton of people that have a common interest. there is a bond there, no matter how small that bond is- its still there and i think when you have a bond and when you have something in common with people you should at least show a small amount of courtesy.

no one helped anyone when they fell. in nashville if you fall in a pit, numerous people scramble to help you up- at least in my experience.

all in all- i would have rather missed the show. in all truth im happier listening to alk3 on cd. reggie was priceless though- all the different costumes and such. its too bad they didn't play for longer. that was another thing- all the sets were short. but yeah. i don't want to go to another show like that. its small bands or bigger venues for me. stlouis fans(who are assholes) can lick my twat!
